EuroNCAP

Pickup trucks are some people's favourite type of car because of their rigid structure, good offroad ability and enormous loading capacity. However, in this round of EuroNCAP (Euro New Car Assessment Programme) proves that pickup trucks are not as safe as they are believed in an event of a crash. The above picture is the Nissan Navara, which acheived the worst result in this round of crash test, that is one star strikethrough (which means it create unacceptably high risk of life-threatening injury to the chest region) out of five. This proved that not all carmakers paid adequate attention to the safety of their car.

However, the above Mitsubishi L200 scored 4 stars out of 5, which is the average score in EuroNCAP.
The above Citroen C5 is the best performer in this round of crash test. It acheived 5 stars out of 5 for adult occupant protection, 4 stars out of 5 for child protection and 2 stars out of 4 for pedestrian protection. It have knee airbag too.
Daihatsu Terios (which is Toyota Rush in Malaysia, and the future Perodua Kembara) acheived 4 stars out of 5 for adult occupant protection.
This small Suzuki Splash also acheived 4 stars out of 5 eventhough its size is a lot smaller than Daihatsu Terios. This proves that small car doesn't mean that it's not safe. As long as the car manufacturers pay attention to their car's safety like Renault (Modus) and Volvo (C30), smaller cars can still acheive 5 stars out of 5 in this type of crash. Safety features in a car are important to us because you'll never be safe before you reaches your destination...
