This week American Idol 7 (AI7) Top 7 met the diva and also one of my fav. singer,
Mariah Carey, who just broke the record of late Elvis Presley for having more number-one singles than the latter.
Since i watched American Idol every week,
i decided to make a small 'review' based on the contestants' performance in this week.
*Spoiler warning (about the elimination)*
David Archuleta: Simon Cowell commented that his performance was very, very good but i think it was just ok but his falsetto was very good. Maybe because i have high hopes on him?
Carly Smithson: 'Without You' is a song that was performed a lot of times in AI.
Her rendition of 'Without You' is still not as good as Kelly Clarkson's...... But it was acceptable.
Brooke White: She made the interesting song, 'Hero' into a boring song :(
Kristy Lee Cook: Well, her performance was just ok. By the way, she was eliminated......
Syesha Mercado: She sang 'Vanishing' and it was the best female performance of the night.
But my instinct tells me that she will 'vanish' from the competition soon...
David Cook: A very original performance by him but still his vocal is not as good as David Archuleta :)
Jason Castro: He didn't create much impact in his performance. It was forgettable.
My prediction: Brooke White or Syesha Mercado is going to be voted out next week.

great review...i think david a's performance was best. the studio version is very nice.
i like jason's performance, though...i thought it was original, and i like his style.
for david cook, i dunno, i didnt like it...he's getting boring, and i cant hear what he's singing
syesha's boring, good 'vanish' description..lol
i hope brooke stays longer though...
i never like jason castro, hihi. i think he got the votes by other people is because they like his unique, long hair but not his voice.
Yup, Brooke should stay longer in AI. Her rendition of 'Let It Be' was amazing! Just like David Archuleta's 'Imagine' :)

but dont u think the "i dont wanna cry" he sang is suitable for brooke? i dunno, i thought that when i was listening to the studio version.
i can't remember any songs performed by Jason except Hallelujah.
Brooke chose the wrong song this week.
But everyone performed well bcos Mariah's songs are not easy to sing.
