This generation of Hyundai Sonata has been a popular car for its sleek, 4 door coupe style. It even triumphed some of its tough competitors in some comparison tests!
As you can see from the spec sheet above, I'm not satisfied with its safety equipment. Being a safety-conscious person, I feel that at least the 2.4cc Sonata should offer 6 airbags as standard. Even sub-100k cars like the Naza Forte and Peugeot 308 can offer 6 airbags as standard! The same problem occurs with Accord 2.4 and Camry 2.4 as the manufacturer wanted to save costs.
However, at RM135k (OTR with insurance) for the low spec Sonata, it undercuts Honda Accord 2.0VTi by 3k at RM138k (without insurance).
The 2.4cc Sonata priced at RM163k (OTR with insurance) is also cheaper compared to Accord 2.4VTi-L by RM5k at RM168k (also without insurance).

In my opinion, the 2.0cc high spec Sonata is the best buy among the 3 options. High spec comes with ESP, leather seats and panoramic roof - more than sufficient equipment level.
With Sonata coming to our shore, I can say Accord and Camry will no longer dominate the whole market!
