Kia Sportage with 6 airbags at RM138,888!

Compact SUV such as Honda CR-V and Nissan X-Trail has dominated the segment for years. Recently with the arrival of Peugeot 3008 and now the all-new Kia Sportage, the competition is much stronger and manufacturers are trying to produce the best value-for-money car to give their best fight in the market.


Don with cues of a concept car, the all-new Kia Sportage looks stunning on its design alone. The Sportage is powered by a Theta II 2.0litre, dual CVVT (continuous variable valve timing) engine which is able to produce 166bhp and 197Nm of torque and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. To compare with its 2.0litre competitors, C-RV has 150bhp while X-Trail has 139bhp. Other than horsepower, Sportage also triumps its closest competitors with its AWD (all wheel drive) system.


The cabin is where the all the impressive stuff are! Leather seats, panoramic sunroof, air-conditioned glove box, dual zone air-cond, push-start button, rear parking assist system with rear view camera, auto cruise control, headlight escort and other cool gadgets and features!


Safety wise, the Sportage has been awarded with 5 stars by EuroNCAP in crash test rating and 6 airbags for Malaysia's model! Its only competitor offering 6 airbags now is Peugeot 3008. Other than that, traction control, downhill brake control, hill-start assist control and cornering brake control, all to ensure you have sure-footed handling on the road.

At RM138,888, the Kia Sportage proves that it's a good buy, only if you can overlook its brand like the buyers of Kia Forte.
