Only one engine variant is available at this moment though, which is the 2.0litre Theta II MPI engine. Fret not! The power that this powerplant able to churn out 165bhp and 198Nm of torque at 4600rpm is more than its 2.0litre competitors like Teana, Accord and Camry!
No doubt that this Optima K5 is a head turner. Daytime LED running lights, HID auto levelling headlights, flush 18-inch alloys, rear lip spoiler and blacked three-piece panoramic roof (all as standard) make the Optima K5 looks grand at day, stylish at night.

Inside, paddle shift, leather seats, dual-zone air-conditioner and cruise control are standard equipments for the Optima K5. Other items include reverse camera integrated to the rear-view mirror, push-start button, 8-way electronic controlled driver seat with memory to mention a few.
In terms of safety, the Kia Optima offers 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, TCS and hill-start assist. No close competitors of Optima's offer side and curtain airbags and also hill-start assist as standard in the similar price range and engine displacement. Kudos to Kia for providing these extensive safety features.
