Proton Saga FLX SE at RM49,899 !

Proton has been quite busy with the Saga BLM. Ever since the launch of the first version of Saga BLM, Proton has generated few variants such as Saga SE, Saga FL 1.3, Saga FL 1.6, Saga FLX 1.3 and now, the Saga FLX SE which carries a 1.6litre Campro engine.



The Saga FLX SE is obviously a Saga FL with smoked front and rear lights, a new 15 inch alloy wheel design and grey-in-colour bodykits on the outside to differentiate it with the other Saga variants.



There are changes on the inside too! Leather wrapped steering wheel and seats, gear level and parking level are standard. Dual airbags has nothing to be bragged about, not to mention ABS too, which are both standard for Saga FLX SE.

For the Saga FLX SE, it uses a 1.6litre Campro IAFM engine with 108bhp and 150Nm of torque at 4000rpm, mated with a CVT automatic gearbox. These figures outperform Myvi 1.5's marginally. But bear in mind that Myvi's power-to-weight ratio is better than Saga FLX SE! So we can expect similar performance in the power department of both models.

Proton is hoping to sell around 500 units per month. Looks like Proton is confident to sell the FLX SE thanks to its affordable price. Priced at RM49,899, the Saga FLX SE is one of the cheapest 1.6litre cars in the market now.
