FILM: Fast Five Review!

Woots! Thanks to Nuffnang and P1W1MAX, I was able to watch the premiere screening of Fast Five a week before its debut in Malaysia! As a car enthusiast, how can I miss this, right?

*Spoiler alert*

Synopsis:
Former cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Since Brian and Mia Toretto (Brewster) broke Dom out of custody, they've blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he's not the only one on their tail. Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them.

For Fast & Furious latest installment, we have a surprise that Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock joined the set of Fast Five! By putting Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson together in a movie, you can expect it to be a bomb already!

Endless fighting, running and shooting throughout the movie, nice!

Cool looking cars like the Subaru Impreza above, Porsche 911 GT3 (if I'm not mistaken), Nissan 370Z, Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger SRT-8, Nissan GT-R, Koenigsegg CCX etc appear in the movie! However, I would appreciate if exotic cars like Audi R8, Lamborghini(s) or Pagani(s) will show up in the movie.

"Where there's car, there's love..."

and can you believe that a 5 years old is the screenwriter for 'Fast Five'??!! Chris Morgan (above) wrote how he wanted the cars to crash or go! He also wrote the screenplay for the critically acclaimed 'Wanted' by Angelina Jolie!

I think pulling the steel vault on the street is Chris Morgan's idea!

Wreckage everywhere! Thanks to Chris :P

The plot was the only letdown of this sequel. The storyline was not strong enough to make an impact and some parts were not explained or shown in detail. Since I watched every installment of Fast & Furious, I can confidently say that Fast Five is the best among the 5 installments!

Rating: 9 stars out of 10!
