Remember its predecessor Nissan Cefiro which was selling in Malaysia few years back? After Toyota Camry and Honda Accord dominated the D-segment sales, Nissan fights back by launching its all-new Teana, replacement model for Cefiro!
With one look, no doubt the Teana is a strong effort by Nissan to compete against the 'kings' in the D-segment. To provide more options to the buyers, Nissan offers 2.0cc (136bhp), 2.5cc V6 (182bhp) and 3.5cc V6 (252bhp), quite similar like what Honda did for its Accord. The 2.0cc engine is the similar one found in Nissan Sylphy, which is an ultra smooth performer but might be underpower for larger sedan like the Teana.

From the outside, its size is actually slightly smaller compared to Honda Accord, but Nissan promised to deliver ample cabin space in the Teana. The front end looks fresh and 'youthful' while the smooth and elegant lines flow from the front through the side and to the back, very nice indeed!
Interior wise, Nissan designers made the dashboard to have an illusion of 'floating' on top of a layer of wood finishing. Everywhere is padded for extra comfort. The RM138,000 2.0cc Teana will get auto headlights, dual zone auto climate control and push button ignition like what found in the 2.4cc Toyota Camry!

For the 2.5cc V6, it gets auto leveling xenon headlights, powered rear sunnshade, Intelligent Key (keyless entry), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and side airbags! Finally the 2.5cc gets 2 airbags for the side at RM168,000! These will give the 2.4cc Camry a run for their money. Then the CBU 3.5cc V6 has an ottoman front passenger seat (!), perforated and ventilated leather seats, panoramic roof (!) and curtain airbags at RM248,500.
