Twins '人人弹起' Live in Malaysia @ Arena of Stars !

Thanks to Nuffnang and Genting, I had the opportunity to catch a concert by the Hong Kong duo, Twins in Arena of Stars! Other than the free pair of concert tickets, the generous Genting had also gave 5 of us bloggers a complimentary night stay in First World Hotel and a breakfast in the next morning!

Arena of Stars... It had been almost 10 years since the last time I stepped into this venue.

Twins started the concert at around 8.30pm and ended after 11pm! It is the longest concert that I had ever attended. However, I did not enjoy much of the concert due to the 'consistency' of Twins in terms of performance. Almost every song was sang with the same tone, and there were a lot of pitchy moments too. 

But I do appreciate Twins effort in the encore part. The encore consisted more than 5 songs, where they kept on adding extra songs depending on the audience's reaction. However, most of the songs were not practiced by Twins before the concert and there were no lyrics prepared for display. So Twins were like mumbling over some songs in the end. But still, their efforts for the audience worth praising.

Wrapping Up 2011 and Hello 2012 !

Finally 2011 came to an end and we are now in 2012! (world apocalyptic coming?) Like every year, 2011 was filled with ups and downs in my life. but we have to go against all odds to make our life a better place, right?

So without further ado, here's a recap of what happened (happy stuff) in my life in 2011:

Then here comes concerts! Went to 3 concerts in 2011: Show Luo, Justin Bieber O_O and David Archuleta!!

My first concert in my life: Show Luo!

In terms of car, a lot of great things happened!

Went to Proton Exora VIP test drive session with a friend, invited by Merryn!

Invited by Nuffnang to Volkswagen Das Auto KL autoshow pre-event! Get to attend the event few days before the public does!

Left my one year working life and back to college! Awesome group of colleagues!

Attended my Diploma graduation ceremony! Studying Advanced Diploma now.

I hereby announce that I'm closing one chapter of my life and opening a new one! All the best to everyone in the year 2012!

Hebe Promo Tour 2011 @ TARC !

Hebe was having her 'My Love' promo tour in Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC) on 10th of December 2011, and I was there! My friend bought her CD and it came with a pair of tickets to her promo tour, so I tagged along with him.



People lined up as early as 5pm where the show will only start at 8.30pm. I was there at 6 something and look at the line! Well, the line doesn't look at my position and it went all the way to the back, far far away...



Those lucky ones with VIP tickets can seat at the front while us with the normal tickets have to stand at the back.



After some waiting, Hebe came out, sang 3 songs (My Love, 花花世界, 还是要幸福) and played game with some of her fans. And yes, boys and even girls were mesmerized by her beauty...

Sorry for the low quality picture as I don't have a DSLR. This was the best that I can take with my trusty Nokia N8 from far away!

Unfortunately, it was a poorly managed event where audience with normal ticket at the back was not asked to sit down. Those who are tall and standing at the front blocked the view of many shorter ones. Other than that, the sound quality was very bad for the back audience. We can barely here what Hebe and Phoebe were talking about that night.

David Archuleta 'The Other Side Of Down' Concert !!!

I remember vividly when it comes to my first experience in meeting David Archuleta in Sunway Amphitheater 2 years back. About five thousands fans were there to catch him singing live for the first time in Malaysia. He was 19 years but he can perform, or even outperform some famous singers out there!


Thanks to Sony Music Malaysia, Digi and Nuffnang, I won a pair of David Archuleta's 'The Other Side of Down' concert ticket worth RM190 each by writing a blog entry!


Located in Stadium Negara, I can say the venue was not bad, considering it's one of the oldest indoor stadiums in Malaysia. However, the seats were not full considering David Archuleta has a huge fanbase in Malaysia :(


After an opening performed by Hao Ren (朱浩仁), David Archuleta came out from the backstage and perform 'Stomping the Roses' energetically as his first song! david, as always, performed with great vocal and superb falsetto. Many girls were shouting "I love you David!" and "You're so hot!" for the whole duration of concert!

David performed 17 songs NON-STOP without any break! He'll just drink some water after performing few songs to reduce his thirst, then he'll continue his remaining song! Morever, he always jumped around when performing his songs, but his singing was not affected by fatigue or short of breath! I can personally assure you that he didn't lip-synched even for one sentence! Salute!


I hope next time I'll be standing this close to an artist in a concert next time to capture such beautiful picture :)

Justin Bieber "My World Tour" Concert @ Stadium Merdeka!

Thanks to Nuffnang and Tune Talk, I got a pair of RM288 ticket to Justin Bieber's concert from a contest! I was very happy because I got the free tickets but...


... there came the rain, wrong place at the wrong time. We (attendees of the concert) must thank Tune Talk for providing free rain coat! Or else many people will leave with frowning face...

We waited for a long time for the concert to start after Mizz Nina did the opening. The concert supposed to start at 8.30pm, but the organizer put a 15mins countdown at 8.45pm. So, out of boredom...


... this is created. Handsome? ^_^


Finally the concert started at 9pm! Honestly, I think Justin Bieber's voice is different than what we heard in his songs. Now his voice is hoarse and there's not a single high tune in his singing. Puberty 'killed' his voice since he sang very well when he was a kid. But Justin Bieber is a good performer. He's good in music instruments (especially drum!) and can do smooth dance moves!

Highlight of the day was a girl (from the audience) was brought up to the stage when JB was singing 'One Less Lonely Girl'. I'm sure the girl will feel that she's the 'Only Girl In The World' at that moment!

Show Luo 罗志祥 一万零一夜 3D Concert @ Bukit Jalil !!!

It was actually my first time...... going to a concert! I just came back from Show Luo (罗志祥) concert in Bukit Jalil, and I must say it was a great experience.


By the way, Show Luo has an attire brand of his own - Stage. The cap above cost hundred something in Malaysia (not mine)...


So I went there with my friend Jason on the left and my roomie Tze How on the right. Me and Jason bought the RM128 ticket while Tze How bought the RM388 ticket since he's a big fan of Show. Kian Fai and JFook were there too and have the RM168 tickets for free! *sad coz I bought the ticket*

This concert is a 3D concert, meaning its backdrop contains 3D images without having the need to wear a 3D spec like in the cinema to watch the concert. Impressive 3D technology I would say!

Well, this is scary! Show Luo was so high up on a tiny platform singing his song 拼什么! One wrong move and he'll be drop dead handsome XD

One minor critisism about the concert is Show Luo did not sing the whole chorus of some songs, where he'll stop singing for the one of the sentence. For example, the chorus from his song 习惯就好:

习惯就好 习惯就好
是我选择看不到分手预兆
没有一丝睡意的困扰 无法治疗...

The one in red means he didn't sing. I can understand why he didn't sing some of the lyrics in some songs which require him to dance, but 习惯就好 is a slow song. Although he rocked the stage last night with his awesome dance moves, but also as a singer, he should sing the whole song like every other artist out there. If he plan to skip that sentence each time he sings live, why not just skip that sentence while recording the studio version? Sorry Show Luo fans, this is just my humble opinion.
