First Launch in 2011 - Peugeot 308CC !

This year the automotive sector had a great start with the launch of Peugeot 308CC. The 308 CC has retractable roof, thus, two bodystyles – an open hard top and a closed one, which is why it's called 'coupe-cabriolet' (stands for CC too).

The front end came from its hatchback sibling, the 308, but the windscreen angle is sharper and other parts are totally new (except for the dashboard). The side profile actually looks amazing and well-proportioned, unlike some cabriolets in the market which has awkward design.

The 308 CC is available only with one engine choice, which is the 1.6cc direct-injection 4-cylinder petrol engine, where you can also find in the 308 Turbo. Fitted with a twin-scroll turbocharger, this engine produces 156 bhp, enough to satisfy power junkie!

The 308CC’s roof folds into the boot within 20 seconds with speed of up to 12 km/h. Significant reinforcements have been done for the A-pillars just in case a rollover is inevitable. Extendable aluminium roll-over protection bars will also extend upwards from behind the rear head restraints within 20 milliseconds if its sensor detects a rollover. Not enough? There are 6 airbags in the cabin too!

Dual zone air-conditioning, electric front seats with memory functionality for the driver’s seat and a retractable 7-inch LCD screen and the list goes on for the equipment part. The seats even have Peugeot’s ‘Airwave’ system which blows air against the backs of the occupants’ necks from vents in the upper part of the seats. Kind of like Mercedes' 'Air-scarf', but both system are unnecessary in Malaysia's hot climate.

Get one of this at RM186,888!
