Next Generation Kia Forte YD a.k.a. K3 !

Before you know it, the Kia Forte in our market is bound for a replacement model. It is unveiled in the year 2008 globally and reached our shore with the name Naza Forte in the year 2009. Right now, Kia released sketches of the upcoming next generation of Kia Forte, which will also be known as Kia K3 in South Korea or Kia Cerato in some other countries.

Wider, longer but lower than the model it replaces, the Kia Forte YD will be getting a 50mm longer wheelbase compared to the outgoing model - at 2700mm, where it shares the same platform with the latest generation Hyundai Elantra. This time around, the Kia Forte YD receives sharper and more daring styling.

Although the headlights which connects with the grille reminds me of the new BMW 3-Series and the bumper has resemblance of Hyundais, the Forte YD will still be a head turning car! However, signature design feature of current Forte, the 'Nike' line which flows from the bottom of the A-pillar to the rear of the car is missing for the Forte YD. The rear bears some resemblance of Kia Optima, but is curvier and bolder looking.

The Kia Forte YD or K3 will be unveiled in the end of this year, and is expected to arrive sometime in next year. Are you excited for its arrival?
