Mitsubishi ASX CKD open for booking - From RM115k !

 Mitsubishi ASX will soon be locally assembled in Tan Chong Motor Assemblies and bookings are open for it now. Price wise, it's a bargain. 4x2 variant is priced at RM114,720 while 4x4 is RM128,880, both on-the-road without insurance! Huge deduction in price if compared with its CBU counterpart which was RM11k dearer than the 4x4 CKD. 

Both variants come with lots of equipment. Auto light and rain sensor, leather seats, keyless entry, GPS navigation with reverse camera, auto air-cond and three airbags (including knee airbag for the driver) are standard across the range. Meanwhile, 4x4 adds 17-inch alloys (16" for the 4x2), chrome finishing for the grille and around the fog lamps, push start button, cruise control, paddle shifter, panoramic glass roof, traction control, active stability control and hill start assist!

Both 4x2 and 4x4 ASX use the same 2.0 litre MIVEC engine which produces 150hp and 197Nm of torque, the same engine found in the CBU ASX. Five-year warranty with unlimited mileage is provided, looks like Mitsubishi is stepping up the game!
