Sem. Break...

... is kind of like a movie period for me. I've downloaded different kind of movies before my sem. break so that i have some movies to watch when I'm boring during the holiday.
Ranging from animated Disney cartoons to sci-fi film of the 90's like Independence Day...

Out of the blue, Kelvin asked me go to watch movie in Cineleisure with Hao on Thursday. We went to watch G-Force with earlier showtime instead of Final Destination which will only be showing at 10pm.
In my opinion, the whole movie looks ordinary with nothing special to brag about. However, some of the hamsters/guinea pigs/watsoever were cute! In the end, there was a scene with huge robot like Transformers... somehow like copied Transformers' concept.

The critically acclaimed District 9 was not bad, lived up to my expectation. The whole movie was like a documentary movie talking about District 9, an area where the lost Aliens were kept and soon turned into a slum.

Wikus (the main character) was in the slum when he was infected with some liquid made by the alien (a.k.a. Prawn coz they look like prawns lolz) and soon he slowly turned into an alien too!
Wikus was captured by the goverment to do experiment on him and he escaped to District 9. Slowly he met an Alien who promise to reverse the transformation process but there's a catch - the alien can only do that if he returns to his mothership which hovering above the city of Johannesburg.

There was a scene in the ending seems like a combination of Terminator and Transformers (why so many movies produced with robot scene similar to Transformers?)... zzz...

Lastly, Watchmen! I can only say that the fighting scenes in this movie were awesome! Not to mention the computer effects too!

But it's still an ordinary superhero movie :(
