The record breaking pewter tankard!In this part 2 blog entry about Royal Selangor factory, I will bring you into a tour and showroom available in the factory rather than just outside!!!
Once you're inside the factory, you can apply for a tour guide and he will bring u up to the second floor on an escalator.
On the second floor, you can see the origin of the Royal Selangor company, about who is the founder and how he established the company. Then you'll get to see all sorts of pewter product made in the past.
Visitors can also enjoy a complimentary lemonade in pewter cup! Then you'll get to see how they produce every product, hand-made every detail by skilled workers.
In the end of the tour, you'll reach the showroom where you can buy all kind of pewter product (at an expensive price if using Ringgit currency). The showroom was very tidy and high-class looking! No wonder Royal Selangor got so many awards in the past few years...
The most expensive item in the showroom! 'Guan Gong'!!! RM48K!!!You'll be blinded by the reflection of the strong lighting condition on the superbly finished product displayed in the showroom!
Most of the items were carefully designed with innovate features to benefit the users. One of their best selling products was the air-tight tea container which demonstrate their high level of quality control.
Royal Selangor is a perfect place for tourists and also students who need to do assignment on factory. It's worth the visit!
